Should We Close Israel?

Guantanamo Bay, or Gitmo, as it's known, is located about 400 air miles from Miami, Florida, at the southeast corner of Cuba. U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay is situated there on 45 square miles of land and water. It is the oldest U.S. overseas base, the only one located in a Communist country, and the only one located in a country with which the United States does not maintain diplomatic relations.
In February 1903, the U.S. leased the property as a fueling station from Cuba. In December 1903, both countries signed the Cuban-American Treaty which confirmed the lease. A treaty reaffirming the lease was signed in 1934 and remains in force unless both countries disavow it or unless the U.S. abandons the base.

In the late 1950s Communist Revolution, Fidel Castro seized power in Cuba and has since then objected to the lease. The U.S. maintains that the lease is valid under international law and that the Castro government confirmed that when it cashed one of the rent checks.
U.S. Marines guard the base and face off daily against Cuban soldiers over a 17-mile fence line. The 1992 movie "A Few Good Men", starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, and Demi Moore, is director Rob Reiner's masterful depiction of the base and scurrilous defamation of the Marine Corps.
In 2002, President George W. Bush established a detention facility at Gitmo to imprison dangerous international terrorists who possess no legal, moral, ethical, humanitarian or U.S. Constitutional rights to due process in U.S. courts.
On October 12, 2000, long before the Gitmo detention facility was opened, Al Qaeda-recruited Muslim suicide bombers blew a hole in the U.S.S. Cole and killed seventeen U.S. Sailors.
On September 11, 2001, long before the Gitmo detention facility was opened, nineteen Al Qaeda-recruited Muslim terrorists hijacked four U.S. airliners, flew them into buildings and killed 3,000 innocent people.
On December 22, 2001, long before the Gitmo detention facility was opened, Al Qaeda-recruited Muslim terrorist Richard Reid tried to blow up an airliner over the Atlantic Ocean using a bomb hidden in his shoe.
President Obama reportedly continues to insist on closing the facility and sending more than 80 Guantanamo Yemeni terrorists home, even though previously released Gitmo detainees have returned to the 'battlefield' to attack the United States (see "Obama's Inexcusable Failure To Protect America From Terrorist Attack" and "Welcome To Obamaworld: No Passport? No Problem!").
According to Fox News, one administration official described Obama's rationale this way: "The detention facility at Guantanamo has been used by Al Qaeda as a rallying cry and recruiting tool -- including its affiliate Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. As our military leaders have recognized, closing the detention facility at Guantanamo is a national security imperative".
Another recruiting tool used by Al Qaeda has been Hollywood movies which, according to the Muslim line, portray the corruption and moral depravity of America.
Should we close Hollywood?
Victoria's Secret televises a show each year of attractive, scantily clad females whom Osama bin Laden and his merry band of Neanderthals find scandalous and hold out as an example of American evil.
Should we close Victoria's secret?
Al Qaeda and the Taliban have closed schools that educate girls and have used the Western practice of educating females as a recruiting tool for young men who are then turned into terrorists and sent on missions to kill Americans and other Westerners.
Should we close our schools to females and force them to wear the burka?
Al Qaeda refers to all Christians and Jews as 'infidels' and 'apostates' and recruits Muslims to kill them.
Should we close our churches, temples, and synagogues?
Islam does not recognize the provision of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution that government shall neither establish a religion nor prevent the free exercise of religion, and uses that to recruit young men to attack the United States.
Should we shred our Constitution and close our government?
The aforementioned shoe bomber, Richard Reid, was recruited by Al Qaeda in prison and justified his attempted shoe bombing of the airliner by referring to the immorality and self-fulfillment of Western society as a threat to Islam.
Should we close Western society?
On January 14, 2009 Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden called for a holy war against Israel in which he urged the "Muslim Nation" to defeat the "Zionist entity" and assured Palestinians that Al Qaeda's "…fate is tied to yours in fighting the crusader-Zionist coalition, in fighting until victory or martyrdom", and further stated that "…the duty is to urge people to jihad (holy war) and to enlist the youth into jihad brigades".
He did not mention Gitmo. He only mentioned Israel.
